IN OUR REGION, FOR OUR REGION! AN AMAZING REGIONAL SUCCESS!

BATHURST – The Roses Radiothon, an event organized today by the hospital foundations in the Northeast was held today, Friday April 28, 2017.

The $100,000 goal was reached again this year with a total of $ 101,505. This money will go towards the needs at the Oncology Clinic of the Chaleur Regional Hospital. More specifically, the Oncology Clinic will receive new treatment chairs and electronic pressure monitors at each treatment station.

It is also important to underline that more than $ 59,824 was raised for the annual campaigns of the Acadian Peninsula establishments to meet certain needs in their respective institutions.

« As a cancer survivor, I can testify the importance of being at home surrounded by relatives in these difficult times in the fight against cancer. That is why I want to thank all those who have been generous. The Roses Radiothon is a regional initiative which aims to make a difference in the health care offered in our region, for the people in our region. », declared Marie-Jeanne Chiasson Noël, cancer survivor and Chair of the Roses Radiothon for La Fondation de l’Hôpital de Lamèque.

Thanks to you, we will be able to help patients and even if they don’t know your name, my team and I will forever be grateful! , explained Michelle Henry Godin, Nurse Coordinator at the Oncology Clinic.

Where do the funds from the Roses Radiothon go?

All the funds raised in the Chaleur region and 20% of the funds raised in the Acadian Peninsula will go toward meeting needs at the Oncology Clinic of the Chaleur Regional Hospital.

In total, 80% of the funds raised on the Acadian Peninsula will go toward meeting the needs targeted by the annual campaigns of the three foundations in the peninsula.
